Dear Sir,

Greetings from Ranchi Agricultural College. With your blessings, good wishes and moral support, ARAC is now a registered society with registration No. 617/2009-10. We met on 20.11.08 last year. Our next meet is scheduled to be held on 30 – 31, January, 2010.You are cordially invited to attend. For this we will be extremely grateful. During our last ARAC meet & the proposed meet, some new heights have been achieved by RAC. Some of those are:

· ICAR Accreditation Team visited the College and the University for five days i.e. from 3^rd to 7^th Nov. 2009.

· ICAR winter school was coordinated from 11 – 30 Nov. 2009 in Soil Science Department.

· Current batch of 33 B. Sc.(Ag.) students will complete their degree in Dec. 2009.

· Two students of RAC (Plant Breeding & Soil Science department) were selected in ARS (ICAR) this year.

· Brochure of RAC published.

· First batch of M.B.A. (Agribusiness) will complete their degree in Dec., 2009.

· Several B. Sc.(Ag.) and M.Sc.(Ag.) students of RAC were selected in State Department of Agriculture jobs.

· Banking sector has selected many of our students.

              On the above background, I feel that we must meet and discuss the emerging issues and formulate plans for better future of the Agriculture Sector in general and our products in particular.

AGENDA OF THE MEET

1. Current status and future thrusts in Agriculture and allied sectors.

2. Need for change in attitude & skill and developing communication skills for better professional development.

3. Visit to Entrepreneurship development units and discussion.

4. Developing market linkages.

5. Annual General body meeting

4. Token money for participation : Rs. 200/-
