An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over Northeast Bangladesh and adjoining Meghalaya, with another circulation over Northeast Assam at lower tropospheric levels. Additionally, a north-south trough extends from West Vidarbha to the Gulf of Mannar in the lower tropospheric levels. A Western Disturbance lies as a trough in the lower to middle tropospheric westerlies, while a cyclonic circulation is present over southwest Rajasthan and adjoining areas, extending as a trough up to north Madhya Maharashtra at lower tropospheric levels. An active fresh Western Disturbance likely to impact Northwest India from 02nd May. Under the influence of these systems:Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph likely over Northeast India during next 5 days and thundersquall (wind speed reaching 50-70 kmph) likely over Assam & Meghalaya till tomorrow. Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (40–50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph), is likely over East India, East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and East Uttar Pradesh during the next two days, and over Jharkhand for the next three days. While Chhattisgarh and Odisha may experience hailstorm. Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (30–40 kmph, gusting up to 50 kmph), is likely over Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry during the next seven days. Additionally, thundersqualls with wind speeds reaching 50–60 kmph are likely over North Interior Karnataka during the next 2–3 days. Kerala may experience heavy spells of rain, while North Interior Karnataka is likely to witness hailstorms. Light rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (30–40 kmph), is likely over the Western Himalayan region and the plains of Northwest India after two days and will continue for the following three days. Heat wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets over Jammu & Kashmir during the next two days; over Himachal Pradesh and West Rajasthan during the next three days; and over East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana from tomorrow, continuing for the following three days. Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry during the next three days, and over Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Coastal Karnataka until tomorrow.
