An upper air cyclonic circulation is located over northeast Assam, with another over north Bangladesh at lower tropospheric levels. A separate cyclonic circulation persists over southwest Rajasthan, extending a trough southward to north Madhya Pradesh in the lower troposphere. Additionally, a north-south trough runs from west Vidarbha down to north Kerala at lower tropospheric levels. Another upper air cyclonic circulation is present over the Comorin area and its surrounding region in the lower troposphere. Under the influence of these systems: Northeast India: Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds with speeds of 40–50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph, is likely over Northeast India during the next five days. Additionally, a thundersquall with wind speeds reaching 50–70 kmph is expected over Assam and Meghalaya today. East & Central India:Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds with speeds of 40–50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph, is likely over East India, East Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh during the next three days. Hailstorm activity is also expected over Odisha during this period. South Peninsular India: Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds with speeds of 30–40 kmph, gusting up to 50 kmph, is likely over Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry during the next seven days. Additionally, a thundersquall with wind speeds reaching 50–60 kmph is likely over North Interior Karnataka for the next 3–4 days. A fresh and active Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India after four days. Northwest India and Western Himalayan Region: Light rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (30–40 kmph), is likely over the Western Himalayan region and the plains of Northwest India starting from tomorrow and continuing for the next five days. Duststorms are very likely at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh until tomorrow. Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi are expected to witness duststorms after two days, while Rajasthan is likely to experience similar conditions thereafter, which may continue for 1–2 days.
