An upper air cyclonic circulation persists over northern Bangladesh at lower tropospheric levels. Another cyclonic circulation is present over southwest Madhya Pradesh, extending as a trough southwards up to Tamil Nadu. Additionally, a north-south trough runs from west Vidarbha to northern Kerala, also in the lower troposphere. Under the influence of these systems East and Central India: Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (40–50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph) is likely over East India, East Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh during the next two days. Odisha is expected to witness isolated heavy rainfall during this period. Northwest India: A fresh and active Western Disturbance is expected to affect the region in two days. Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (30–50 kmph), is likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand over the next four days. Light rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (40–60 kmph) is also expected over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan during this period. Duststorms are very likely at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh today, in Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi tomorrow, and across Rajasthan from tomorrow for the next five days. South Peninsular India: Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (30–40 kmph, gusting up to 50 kmph), is likely over Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry during the next 7 days. A thundersquall, with wind speeds reaching 50–60 kmph, is likely over North Interior Karnataka after two days. Northeast India: Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph), is expected across the region over the next 7 days. Assam and Meghalaya may experience heavy rainfall spells through tomorrow. Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of Saurashtra and Kutch today. Additionally, heat wave conditions are expected over parts of Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh during the day.
