North India to Face Sweltering Heat in the Coming Days
North west India: Uttar Pradesh & Madhya Pradesh: Heat will persist until June 12-13. Light showers or drizzles will begin in the Terai belt, Eastern UP, and Eastern MP around June 11, intensifying on June 12 and gradually spreading, offering relief. Punjab, Haryana, Delhi & Western UP: Scorching heat will continue until June 15. Rain is expected in foothill areas from June 12. After June 15, sunlight intensity will drop, but humidity discomfort will rise. Rajasthan: Western districts will face extreme heat until June 22. A weak western disturbance between June 14–16 may bring light rain and dust storms to North and East Rajasthan. Heavy rainfall is expected in Eastern and Southern Rajasthan starting June 15, gradually increasing. East & Central India: Odisha is likely to experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph over the next two days. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand may see similar conditions after two days. Northeast India: Expect light to moderate rainfall across the region over the next seven days. However, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura may experience heavy showers starting tomorrow, lasting for three days. Similarly, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya could see intensified rainfall after two days. South Peninsular India: Light to moderate rainfall is anticipated over Kerala and Coastal Karnataka throughout the next week. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu may see rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph for the next three days. Meanwhile, Interior Karnataka is likely to experience similar conditions until tomorrow.
