Northwest India: A fresh wave of rainfall is set to impact North and West India starting today, with East Rajasthan seeing moderate showers that will intensify over the next two days. Heavy rain is expected to sweep across the Western Himalayan region from tomorrow, affecting states like Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh with moderate to heavy rainfall today. Himachal Pradesh will likely receive isolated heavy showers tomorrow, while Jammu & Kashmir is expected to see rainfall the day after. Meanwhile, similar wet conditions will prevail over Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, and West Rajasthan for the next three days. West India: West India is bracing for a wet spell, with Konkan & Goa, Gujarat, and Maharashtra likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall over the next two days. Widespread light to moderate showers are also expected across many parts of the region in the coming days, signaling an extended phase of rainy weather. Northeast India: Light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms and lightning, in many areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya today, and this weather is expected to last for the next 4-5 days. After three days, a new spell of heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to begin in Northeast India. East & Central India: Over the next two days, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Bihar are likely to see light to moderate rain. Starting tomorrow, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal will also experience rainfall. For the next several days, light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (reaching speeds of 30-40 km/h), are expected in the region. South Peninsular India: Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, and Coastal Karnataka are expected to receive light rainfall. Additionally, strong surface winds, with speeds of 40-50 km/h, are forecasted over South Peninsular India for the next 5 days.
