Over the next few days, moderate to heavy rain is expected across several regions in North and Northwest India. Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are likely to see significant rainfall for the next three days. In Rajasthan, eastern parts may get rain for two more days, while the wet spell in western areas is expected to end today. Moving forward, rainfall is forecast to return to Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh in two days and continue for another two. Additionally, light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is likely across parts of the Western Himalayan region and some northern plains over the next week. West India: Light to moderate rainfall at many places very likely over the region during next 6-7 days. Northeast India is set to experience light to moderate rainfall across many areas over the next three days. Thunderstorms, lightning, and occasional heavy rain are also expected in states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Rain activity is likely to pick up starting tomorrow. East and Central India are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall across most areas over the next five days. This will be accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 km/h. In contrast, rain in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh is expected to ease after the next two days. Over the next three days, strong surface winds with speeds of 40 to 50 km/h are expected across South Peninsular India. Meanwhile, light to moderate rain is likely in several areas of Kerala, Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, and may continue for up to seven days.
