The pressure of arrival of maize in the mandis of Bihar has doubled in the last 4 days due to which the prices in the mandis have dropped by Rs 50 to Rs 1970/1990 per quintal in two days. Last one month ago, maize prices were at Rs 2200/2220 per quintal in Khagaria Begusarai Darbhanga line. In Haryana and Punjab, it is being traded at Rs 2290/2300. The stock of old goods is stuck in MP Rajasthan, because due to the arrival of goods from Bihar, the sales there have completely cooled down. Due to higher production in Bihar, further decline of Rs 50 per quintal is expected in future. There is a possibility of decline in the same ratio in Haryana and Punjab also.
